Wadena Board approves bids for highway projects

Wadena County Commissioners approved bid awards for two more road and bridge projects to take place this season, during the Aug. 23 board meeting

PCI Roads, LLC, of St Michael, Minn., was the low bidder for a bridge remodeling project on CSAH 12 in Nimrod at Stigman Mound Park. They will receive $304,713.20 to bring the bridge up to current standards.

The project will involve a 17-mile detour for about a month, starting Monday, for travelers using CSAH 12 near Nimrod.

The second project is pavement repair and resurfacing in three areas of CSAH 30 and CR 160 in the Staples area. Five bids were received for this project, and Tri-City Paving of St Cloud was the low bidder. They will receive $491,535.15 to complete the project.
