Wadena, Bluffton fire departments respond to fire

The Wadena and Bluffton fire departments responded Wednesday afternoon to a fire at 39923 County Highway 75 that Bluffton Fire Chief Ken Theisen estimated caused $30,000 worth of damage.

Theisen said no occupants were inside the home at the time of the blaze, of which firefighters were notified at approximately 3:30 p.m. Theisen added that about 12 firefighters from each department would be used to combat the fire, which he said likely started near the residence's front door, close to a chimney pipe.

However, the official source of the fire was unknown as of Wednesday afternoon.
