The Mass of Christian Burial for Virginia Crosgrove of Wadena will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at St. Anns Catholic Church in Wadena with Father Aaron Kuhn as celebrant. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. Virginia passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2014, at her home in Wadena, MN. She was 73 years old.
Virginia was born on May 7, 1940, to Emil and Catherine (Kraft) Fah in Southam, ND and moved with her family to Deer Creek, MN in 1949.
She was united in marriage with Roger LaVern Crosgrove on April 27, 1958, in Wadena, MN.
Over the years she had varied jobs: a nanny, at Sunshine Cookie Factory in Minneapolis, as a nurses aid and physical therapy aid. She was a childcare provider, seamstress and worked at a sweet corn farm. She volunteered at the nursing home, St. Anns Church, Wadena Crisis Center and fundraising to provide services for areas homeless population. Virginia found time to pursue hobbies in crafts, painting, reading, gardening, baking, raising animals, archery, fishing, camping and Diamond Willow woodworking.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents Emil and Catherine; husband Roger in 2000; sons Michael in 1961 and Kevin in 2011; sisters Anna Gedde and Mary Weber.
She is survived by her daughters Kelly Bredon of Andover and Caroline Rogers of Bemidji; grandchildren Amanda Frischmon of Ham Lake, Marc Sullivan of East Bethel and Anthony Russo of Bemidji; siblings Emil (Margo) Fah Jr, Irene (Lawrence) Johnson of Devils Lake, ND, Ethel (Gary) Wickstrom of Blaine, twin brother Virgil Fah of Hewitt and Ralph Fah of Cooperstown, ND.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Wadena.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials go to St. Ann's Memorial Peace Garden, WFPCU c/o PO Box 307 Wadena, MN.
