Applebee's restaurants will again provide a meal at no cost for all military active, retired and veterans on Friday, Nov. 11. This year, Applebee's is offering a new Veterans Day menu, which includes some of its signature and favorite items. All U.S. veterans and active duty personnel with proof of current or former military service are eligible. Proof of service is required in the form of a Services Identification Card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired Identification Card, Current Leave and Earnings Statement, Veterans Organization Card, photograph in uniform or wearing uniform, DD214, or Citation or Commendation. Applebee's initiated this program nationwide for the first time last year and provided over a million meals to members of the military.

Golden Corral Military
Golden Corral restaurants will host their Military Appreciation Night on Monday 14 NOV 2011 from 5-9 PM with a meal at no cost for all military active, retired and veterans. No proof is required to enjoy this buffet meal. Guests of veterans will have to pay the regular meal price. No take outs. This is their 11th year with this program. Permit to Carry Class will offer a special in honor of Veteran's Day, is that with one paying person, a vet can take the MN class for free (a $125 value), at the Menahga Senior Citizens Center (19 Cedar Ave. NW) on Nov. 17, 2011 with registration starting at 2:30 p.m. They are offering the Minnesota, Utah and Florida permit to carry training. The class includes a great book on the Minnesota permit to carry, evening of training and they bring pizza!
