Verndale cagers top Parkers Prairie 48-43

Zack Meidinger dropped in five treys Tuesday night as the Verndale Pirates evened their season record at 1-1 with a 48-43 win over Park Region Conference foe Parkers Prairie.

Meidinger had a 20 point scoring night in the victory. Jerdan Stinar came up with 10 points for Verndale.

Charlie Bates canned 13 for the Panthers while Dustin Rawlings added 10.

The Pirates will host Henning Tuesday in another Park Region Conference tilt.

Four cagers scored in double figures as the Cardinals trounced the Pirates last Friday in their home opener.

Isaac Schultz paced the Cards with 18 points while Jacob Voss added 17, Brandon Welinski scored 16 and Jordan Pangrac netted 10.

Zack Meidinger dropped in three treys for the Pirates and finished the night with 15 points. Caleb Burczyk chipped in with 11.
