Verndale artist Karen Heller open house held on Saturday, July 2
Karen Heller, resident of Verndale, is the featured artist in a new exhibit of oil paintings at the New York Mills Regional Cultural Center that runs through Saturday, July 30.
The show of 50 landscapes, portraits, and constructions span a period of more than 20 years and depict a life in art. A reception for Heller is open to all on Saturday, July 2 from 6-8 p.m.
Heller has some of her landscape work on display at the Tri-County hospital in Wadena. She completed a course of study in media technology at Central Lakes College in Staples. She is employed at the Depot in Wadena where she works on marketing initiatives and developing materials telling the Wadena area story to visitors. The show at New York Mills Cultural Center is Karen's first solo exhibition.
