VanErp, Bulldogs overcome Wolverines 15-4
Former Wadena-Deer Creek standout Andrew VanErp came back to haunt the Wolverines Thursday as he joined in a 13-hit attack that propelled Otter Tail Central to a 15-4 win in five innings.
VanErp got the starting nod for the Bulldogs and threw shutout ball for the first three frames while the Bulldogs were racking up all 15 of their runs.
Tyler Aune went 3-for-4, scored twice and drove in two runs for OTC. Nick Trosdahl doubled and scored twice. Dylan Kalenze, Jakob Bradsteen and Weston Malmstrom all collected two hits for the Bulldogs.
Wyatt Weber had two hits for the Wolverines. Weber doubled in a run in the fifth.
VanErp fanned four in posting the mound win. Tanner Horn was tagged with the loss.
The loss left the Wolverines with a final regular season record of 5-12.

Dillon Card fired a one-hitter and fanned eight as Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale blanked the Wolverines Thursday.
Isaac Laughlin was the only WDC batter to get a hit off the BHV right-hander. Laughlin led off the second with a double. He was bunted over to third by Michael Behl but stranded there when Card struck out Dylan Phillips and Tanner Horn.
WDC hurler Jake Dykhoff scattered eight BHV hits. Mac Schluttner and Mitchell Blaha touched Dykhoff for RBI hits in the fifth and seventh innings. Will Kramer joined Schluttner with two safeties.
The Wolverines stranded eight BHV baserunners but committed four errors.

The Cowboys came up with four runs over the final two innings Tuesday for an extra-inning win over the Wolverines.
Parker Busse paced the Cowboys at the plate going 4-for-5 with a triple and three RBIs.
Aaron Neppl started on the mound for Breck but gave way to Ashton Hegge in the second when the Wolverines scored three times. Hegge pitched shutout ball for the final six frames to earn the win.
Jake Dykhoff pitched the first seven innings for WDC. Dykhoff scattered seven hits and fanned nine while surrendering two earned runs and four walks. Isaac Laughlin relieved Dykhoff in the eighth and was touched for two runs, two walks and two hits.
Zac Schertler, Wyatt Weber and Thomas Brekke came up with WDC’s three hits. Schertler was credited with an RBI.

Michael Behl fanned seven in throwing a complete game Monday at Parkers Prairie.
Wyatt Weber went 3-for-4 at the plate with a triple and two runs. Ricky Price collected two hits, including a double, scored twice and drove in two runs. Tanner Horner was 2-for-3 win one run and one RBI.
Jacob Bunde came up with two hits for the Panthers.
Kyle Schlosser was hung with the mound loss.
