Authorities responded to a two-vehicle crash at approximately 2:30 p.m. Friday about two miles north of Sebeka on Highway 71 near 308th Street.  Lieutenant Mike Wedin of the Minnesota State Patrol said a silver Pontiac was traveling northbound on Highway 71 and was signaling a left turn into a private residence in order to use the phone there. Wedin said two cars had stopped while waiting for the Pontiac to turn, and when it did,  a Toyota Highlander attempted to pass the group of cars via the passing lane and struck the Pontiac on its passenger side, causing the Pontiac to roll over.  The Pontiac had one occupant who suffered serious injuries and was transported by medevac helicopter,  and the Highlander had two occupants who suffered minor injuries and were taken to Tri-County Health Care, Wedin said. Authorities could not release the names of those involved until families were notified.
