Tri-County Health Care welcomes new nurse practitioner
Wadena Medical Center and Tri-County Health Care welcomed Rebecca Werner, FNP as its newest nurse practitioner. Werner joined the Tri-County Health Care staff in June.
Werner completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City and has her bachelor's degrees in philosophy and nursing. She received her master's degree in nursing, family nurse practitioner from the University of Missouri in St. Louis, Mo.
Previously, Werner has worked as a nurse practitioner in acute care and cardiology. She also worked as an RN in bone marrow transplant and step down ICU. A native of Utah, Rebecca lives in Villard with her husband, the Rev. Josh Heimbuck. They have a 3-year-old son John.
In her free time, Rebecca enjoys playing the violin, gardening and running.
To ensure the best quality care for every patient, Tri-County Health Care is using the POD scheduling system. In the POD system, a physician assistant (PA) or nurse practitioner (NP) works directly with a group of physicians to create a cohesive flow of health care specifically designed to better serve patients. Rebecca works in the POD with Shaneen Schmidt, M.D., Heidi Olson, M.D. and Kayla Brunkow, P.A.
