Anthony "Tony" Boyer, 57, of Wadena, passed away March 28, 2009, at Tri-County Hospital in Wadena.
He was born Oct. 18, 1951, to John and Tillie (Ament) Boyer in Wadena. He lived his entire life in Wadena and touched the heart of everyone who knew him. He was an avid fan of Elvis, "Walker Texas Ranger," and the Minnesota Twins.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 4 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Wadena with the Rev. Donald Wagner as celebrant. Honorary pallbearers will be all of his nephews and nieces, Judy and Harry Dahlin, Karen Crandall and the staff of Trailwood Group Home, Judy Meteer and the staff at Wadena County DAC. Pallbearers will be Michael Boyer, Ben Stevens, Jeff Stevens, Tom Brust, Randy Geiser and Jeremy Geiser. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Wadena. Survivors include his brothers, John of Madison, Wis., Benedict (Barbara) of Webster, S.D., and Sam (Linda) of Aurora, Colo.; sisters, Betty (Fred) Harthman of Sarasota, Fla., Rosemary (Bart) Stevens of Wadena, Ann (Dick) Sandberg of Lake Elysian, Minn., Julie Geiser (Kurt Kingsley) of Richfield, Minn., Kathy (Vern) Brust of Rice Lake, Wis., Rita (Al) Adams of Yucaipa, Calif., and Jane (Larry) Geiser of Stillwater, Minn.; sister-in-law, Rose Marie (Bob) Boyer of Forest Lake, Minn.; niece and guardian, Pam (Ken) Jenson of Wadena; many other nieces and nephews; and a host of friends at Share-A-Home and Wadena County DAC.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Tillie; brother, Robert; brother-in-law, Buck Geiser; sister-in-law, Hazel Boyer; and nephews and a niece.
