Todd-Wadena Electric Cooperative to hold annual meeting April 14
The Todd-Wadena Electric Cooperative annual membership meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, at Memorial Auditorium in Wadena. A membership dinner will precede the meeting beginning at 5:15 p.m., in the adjacent cafeteria. All Todd-Wadena members are encouraged to attend.
Board terms will expire for incumbent directors Dale Adams, Aldrich, Gene Kern, Sebeka, and Norman Krause, Staples. Each is seeking re-election. Other candidates are Tom Brichacek, Browerville; Larry Huotari, Sebeka, and Kelvin Maninga, Menahga. Members may vote for directors at the meeting or request a mail ballot by contacting the cooperative office. To be counted, completed ballots must be completed and returned to the office by 4:30 p.m. on April 13.
At the meeting, General Manager Robin Doege will summarize the 2010 business report and highlight trends in the energy industry. Bruce Berg, board president, will report on legislative influences.
Members attending the meeting will receive a free tree seedling (one per member household) and will be eligible for the drawing of many door prizes, including five $100 energy credits.
Todd-Wadena Electric Cooperative is the electric distribution cooperative for about 8,500 member-consumers who reside primarily in the rural areas of Todd and Wadena counties.
