Todd-Wadena Electric Cooperative to hold annual meeting April 12
The Todd-Wadena Electric Cooperative annual membership meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, at Memorial Auditorium, located at 2nd Street and Dayton Avenue SW, Wadena. A membership dinner will precede the meeting beginning at 5:15 p.m., in the adjacent cafeteria. All Todd-Wadena members are encouraged to attend.
Elections will be held during the meeting to fill two vacancies on the board of directors, as the terms of Bruce Berg and Michael Ahrens end. Berg is seeking re-election; Ahrens is not. The 2012 Nominating Committee selected two candidates for the two open seats on the board; one candidate later declined candidacy. Candidates are Bruce Berg, Staples, Tom Brichacek, Browerville, and Miles Kuschel, Sebeka. Members may vote for directors at the meeting or request a mail ballot by contacting the cooperative office. To be counted, ballots must be completed and returned to the office by 4:30 p.m. on April 11.
Also during the meeting, General Manager Robin Doege will summarize the 2011 business report and highlight trends in the energy industry. Attending members will an attendance gift and will be eligible for the drawing of many door prizes.
Todd-Wadena Electric Cooperative is the electric distribution cooperative for about 8,500 member-consumers who reside primarily in the rural areas of Todd and Wadena counties.
