Several owners of fishing houses on West Battle Lake, as well as one on Murphy Lake have reported break-ins this month.

The burglaries have been happening both during the day, as well as overnight.

Fisherman have so far lost hundreds of dollars in equipment like tackle boxes, stoves, and propane tanks as well as money in damages.

The Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office wants to remind people to lock up and don't leave anything out they wouldn't want to lose.

Stacy Paulseth, Otter Tail Co. Chief Deputy: "They should make sure they take all of their valuable items out of the ice house including any fishing rods, heaters, tackle boxes, things like that that might be enticing for people to take."

No suspects are known at this time.
