TCHC welcomes new physician assistant
Tri-County Health Care is pleased to welcome Jamie Witt, PA, as its newest physician assistant. Witt joined the Tri-County Health Care staff on Aug. 24. She will be available at all clinic sites as well as Fair Oaks Lodge.
Witt attended St. Mary's Junior College and in 1986 she received her AAS in respiratory therapy. In 1994, she completed her undergraduate degree at Metropolitan State University and earned her bachelor's degree in business. In 2004, she received her master's degree in physician assistant studies from Augsburg College in Minneapolis.
Witt specializes in pulmonary and sleep medicine and has previous experience in both the clinic and hospital settings.
"I enjoy working in a smaller clinic setting where I can get to know the patient and their families on a first name basis," said Witt. Her other medical interests include diabetes and preventative medicine.
"I am looking forward to developing a practice at Tri-County Health Care," said Witt. "Tri-County Health Care is a great place to work with access to the up-to-date technology and services that generally are available only in larger populations. The small town feel is an added benefit."
Witt has four children - Nathan (24 years old), Ben (20 years old), Jake (17 years old) and Rachelle (7 years old). She also has a granddaughter Kieran who is 1 year old. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, bowling, music and motorcycles.
Physician assistants evaluate, treat and manage a wide array of diseases, symptoms and illnesses including diabetes, high blood pressure, respiratory infections, arthritis and many other acute and chronic medical conditions.
