She earned her bachelor's degree from Rice University in Houston, Texas, attended the University of Texas Medical School at Houston and completed her residency at DUKE/FAHEC in Fayetteville, N.C. Following her residency, she was with Allina Health System in Hastings for 16 years.

"I am delighted to welcome Dr. Martha to our Tri-County Health Care family. She has a passion for rural health care and a dedication to address the health needs of the residents of Wadena," said Joel Beiswenger, president and CEO. "She is certainly a welcome addition to Wadena Medical Center and Tri-County Health Care."

As a family practice physician, Masciopinto is trained in all major areas of family medicine and is qualified to care for the medical needs of the entire family, ranging from newborns to geriatrics. Masciopinto has a special interest in rural health care, geriatrics, pediatrics, female medicine, nutrition and weight loss.

"I am very excited to be part of the Wadena Medical Center and Tri-County Health Care family," said Masciopinto. "I'm looking forward to working with a team focused on addressing the health care needs of the residents of Wadena and the surrounding area. It's evident in their attitudes and their relationships with other staff and their patients."

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two children - Allison, 13 years old; and Angelina, 11 years old. She also enjoys gardening, walking and recycling.

To make an appointment to see Masciopinto, call the Wadena Medical Center appointment desk at (218) 631-1100. Clinic hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
