TCHC staff donates to Trees for Wadena
Together, the staff of Tri-County Health Care, including Bertha Clinic, Fair Oaks Lodge Long-Term Care and Rehabilitation Clinic, Henning Clinic, Ottertail Area Clinic, Sebeka Clinic, Tri-County Hospital and Wadena Medical Center, raised $512.17 to donate to the Wadena Area Replant Project. When the matching donation offered by the administration team is included, TCHC donated a grand total of $768.17 to the project.
"As our commitment to being a community partner in the recovery process, we find it important to help as much as we can. One way we can help is by involving everyone in the Wadena Area Replant Fundraising Project. I am pleased of what our employees did for the community," said Joel Beiswenger, TCHC president and CEO.
The city of Wadena lost many trees from the June 17 tornado and storms that followed in July. Money raised from the TCHC employees will help offset the cost of trees and give local landowners the opportunity to purchase them at a discounted price. The TCHC donation translates to 76 five foot shade trees or 30 evergreen trees to replace the ones lost throughout the Wadena area in the storms this summer.
