TCHC to hold grief program for children and adolescents
Tri-County Hospital Hospice, in conjunction with Lakeland Hospice, announced a new bereavement program, Growing through Grief, designed especially for children and adolescents, age seven through 17. Evening sessions will be held from 4:30-5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 20, in the Courtyard Conference Room, on the lower level of Tri-County Hospital in Wadena.
Growing through Grief provides a caring environment in which to educate and support children and adolescents dealing with sensitive issues related to grief. The curriculum is divided by age levels ensuring developmentally appropriate group activities. Recognizing that young people generally identify and share more with their peers, the program sponsors have created a free course designed to help children find relief from their feelings of isolation and loneliness.
All group participants must complete a parental permission form to attend. To learn more about Growing through Grief, or to obtain a permission form, please contact Brenda at Tri-County Hospital Hospice by calling (218) 631-7480.
