TCHC donates ambulance to Scandia Valley
Tri-County Health Care donated a used ambulance to Scandia Valley (about 8 miles south of Motley). David Cuppy, AAS NREMT-P, Tri-County Hospital EMS education coordinator, became aware of the need when he was teaching a refresher course to first responders in Scandia Valley.
"This ambulance replaces an unsafe and unreliable vehicle they had been utilizing for emergency situations," said Cuppy. "What the first responders in Scandia Valley were using was very unsafe. I am confident that this group of individuals will put the vehicle to good use saving lives."
"Since I have been with Tri-County Health Care this is the fifth vehicle we have been able to donate to area first responder groups," said Allen Smith, Tri-County Health Care emergency medical services manager. "These donations are an example of how we can support the overall mission of Tri-County Health Care to support communities we serve."
