The 18th annual Tri-County Health Care (TCHC) Foundation Golf Classic was a huge success for the 130 golfers and 15 volunteers who displayed their support at Whitetail Run Golf Course in Wadena on Monday, Aug. 11.

"It was an ideal day for golf," said Holly Weller, TCHC Foundation Coordinator. "We are happy with the tremendous turnout at Whitetail Run Golf Course on Monday. Not only did the golfers have a fun day on the 18-hole championship golf course, they also helped us raise nearly $12,00 to help fund health care education programs like the Men's and Women's Day Out and the February Festival of Health," said Weller.

"The proceeds from the tournament enable the foundation to be a strong community partner," Joel Beiswenger, TCHC President and CEO. "With the money raised at this year's golf classic, we will be able to continue to host community events, award scholarships for students pursuing a career in health care and distribute several community grants — all of which support the TCHC mission to improve the health of the communities we serve."

Team results for the full scramble included: First-place — Lakewood Team: Dr. David Freeman and the Israelson Family.

"To create an environment of fun and team spirit, other prizes were awarded to pre-determined random finishers who finished in seventh, 16th and 26th place," said Weller. The other team's winning prizes included: Russ Davis, Nelson Brothers and TCHC.
