TCH announces retirement of Dr. Stephen Henry
Tri-County Hospital announced that Stephen Henry, MD, will be retiring from his clinical practice on Sept. 1, 2009.
Henry has practiced at Henning Medical Clinic since 1999. Throughout the years, he has faithfully served his patients and provided superior medical care to the community of Henning.
"Over the last 10 years it has been my privilege and honor to be part of this organization," Henry said. "Having made the difficult decision to retire, I look forward to spending more time with my family enjoying the free time and doing some volunteer medical services."
Joel Beiswenger, TCH interim president and CEO, expressed gratitude to Henry for his years of dedicated service to the TCH system.
"It has been an honor to have Dr. Henry serve on our hospital medical staff and provide quality care for our patients at Henning Medical Clinic," Beiswenger said. "For the past decade, he has helped position our organization for the future through his commitment to the continuum of care and his dedication to Henning and the surrounding area. His excellent leadership and hands-on approach will be missed by all."
As Henry reflected on what he will miss most, he said without a doubt it would be "the friendships developed over the past years."
Henry, who will see patients until Aug. 31, said he is leaving his practice "in the very capable and caring hands" of his colleague, Dr. Robert Telste, who will begin his practice at Henning Medical Clinic on Sept. 1. Henry and Telste practiced together from 1991 to 1999.
The Henning Medical Clinic staff will host a farewell open house for Henry from 1-6:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 28.
