Tankers collide in Todd County
Todd County deputies responded to a motor vehicle crash involving a single axle propane tanker and a semi tanker carrying gasoline at 11:54 a.m. Jan. 16.
The crash occurred at the intersection of County Road 21 and 370th Street, approximately six miles north of Browerville.
The gas tanker was a 2006 Peterbilt owned by Wayne Transport of Rosemount, Minn. It was driven by Scott Carpenter of Wadena.
The propane tanker was a 1998 International owned by Lakes Gas of Forest Lake. It was driven by Lawrence Doll of Eagle Bend.
The propane tanker was turning left onto 370th Street when the gasoline tanker attempted to pass and caused the crash. Both units received moderate damage and Doll received a minor injury. Carpenter was not injured.
The tanks of the two vehicles remained intact and no contents were spilled. The Todd County Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by the Clarissa and Browerville Fire Departments and the Minnesota State Patrol.
