SWCD holds 19th annual Conservation Days
The Wadena Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) held the 19th Annual Conservation Days Sept. 28-29 at the Old Wadena campground on the Crow Wing River, North of Staples.
Conservation Days is an educational field trip offered to fifth- and sixth-grade students from the Wadena County area. Learning stations are set up throughout the park with subjects like forestry, history of Old Wadena, history of the Voyageur, nature, soils, water and wildlife.
