Swanson named Section 6A second team

Wadena-Deer Creek senior forward Mitchell Swanson has been named to the second team of the All-Section 6A boys’ hockey squad for 2012-2013.
Swanson scored 48 goals and added 27 assists to finish as Section 6A’s third-leading scorer behind Morris-Benson’s Tanner Picht (89 points) and St. Cloud Apollo’s Jared Christen (84).
WDC players who earned honorable mention were senior forwards Christian Berg and Bridger Pettit and senior defenseman Jake Krause. Pettit was the sixth-leading scorer in Section 6A with 66 points. Berg was the 10th-leading scorer with 58.
