Staples man injured in crash
On Sunday evening, Nov. 13, a Wadena County sheriff's deputy responded to a one vehicle rollover north of Staples on Wadena County Road 30, in Section 24 of Thomastown Township.
Leighton Griffith, 19, of Staples, was traveling north when he lost control of his vehicle on a curve. The vehicle skidded out of control, crossed into the southbound lane and entered the southbound ditch. The vehicle hit an approach and rolled.
Griffith had to be extricated from the vehicle and was transported to Lakewood hospital in Staples with moderate, non-life threatening injuries. The crash is under investigation. It is believed speed was a factor.
