Six arrests made in drug investigation
Agents of the Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force (CMVOTF) and Brainerd Lakes Area Drug Investigative Division (LADID) along with members of the Staples Police Department, Todd County Sheriff’s Office, and Wadena County Sheriff’s Office executed three search warrants Wednesday in the city of Staples and one search warrant in Section 9 of Villard Township in Todd County.
The search warrants were executed in connection with a nine-month investigation into the sales of methamphetamine in the Staples area. This investigation was conducted by CMVOTF, Staples Police Department, and the Todd County Sheriff’s Office. Also assisting in this investigation was LADID, the Wadena County Sheriff’s Office, Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office, Morrison County Sheriff’s Office, Cass County Sheriff’s Office, and the Wadena Police Department.
Based on information gathered during the course of this investigation, investigators obtained seven arrest warrants for the sales of methamphetamine from the Todd County and Wadena County Attorney’s Offices. Law enforcement officers arrested an additional two individuals for probable cause possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, and a third individual for felony possession of a controlled substance during the execution of the search warrants in the city of Staples. Wadena County deputies located an individual named in one of the arrest warrants in rural Menahga.
A total of six individuals were arrested in connection to the investigation; Thomas Jacob Brown, 42; Jennifer Faye Paul, 28; Raymond Earl Weekley, 40; Stewart Edward Weekley, 48; Alexander James Miller, 26; and Clinton Dennis McNamara 22. Law enforcement officers are still seeking the whereabouts of three individuals that arrest warrants have been issued for. This matter is still under investigation with additional arrests possible.
