Shrode picked for WDC tech job
Wadena-Deer Creek High School science teacher Kelly Shrode has been approved for a half-time position as Wadena-Deer Creek's technology integration specialist.
The district recently received a $200,000 technology grant which requires that a TIS be hired.
Shrode will assist other teachers and work with new programming to improve the technology skills of WDC students.
WDC superintendent Virginia Dahlstrom sees a great need for an emphasis on technology, she said.
"Technology is changing fast and teaching through technology is changing," Dalhstrom observed. "I see more interactive teaching and more computer-based assessments being done."
