Reed Oistad went 4-for-5, Jake Kiebe went 3-for-4 and Brandon Johnson drove in three runs June 25 as Detroit Lakes downed the Wadena-Deer Creek Shockers 7-3 in a battle for first place in the Hi-10 League.

Both clubs are 9-4 overall as the final month of regular season play begins.

J.J. Truax collected three hits and drove in two runs for the Shockers.

Chris Gilson went 7 1/3 innings to gain the mound win. Gilson walked four but struck out nine. Truax started for the Shockers but gave way to Justin Sperling after 4 1/3 innings of work.

The Shockers were a 9-2 winner over Pelican Rapids Saturday afternoon in Deer Creek.
