Shaw finds June Jubilee medallion at clothing store
The June Jubilee medallion was found the afternoon of Friday, June 20 — the second day of the June Jubilee Medallion Hunt.
Rose Shaw, accompanied by Brittany Hanson, found the hidden June Jubilee medallion in the 1776 An American Revolution clothing store.
"I found it just a bit after 4 p.m. when the third clue came out," said Shaw.
As a reward for finding the medallion, Shaw received $100 in Chamber Bucks. "I spent the money on my son, Corbin," said Shaw.
The medallion was found with just three clues. The first one was, "in the past years the medallion has been found in a park. Maybe we'll do things a little differently this year." The second clue was, "north? south? east? west? Have you checked the center of town yet?" and the third clue was, "we have a lot of great businesses in Wadena. When was the last time you stopped in at one? You might have to in order to find the medallion," which was enough information to lead Shaw to the medallion.
This marks the fourth consecutive year of the June Jubilee Medallion Hunt sponsored by Tri-County Health Care. The hunt was kicked off at the Town and Country Breakfast on Thursday morning, June 19. The Medallion was made and donated by Curt Leesebergat Main Street Sports.
