Sharon Kay McCall, 68, passed away April 15, 2010, at Lakewood Healthcare Systems in Staples.
Sharon was born Dec. 26, 1941, to Delwin C. and Dorothy Orr Mickles in Albany, Calif. Sharon graduated from Downey Senior High School with the class of 1960. She continued her education at a trade school and found her livelihood as a secretary. Sharon and Raymond H. McCall were married on Sept. 29, 1960 in Hollydale, Calif.
Sharon's interests and hobbies included traveling, crafting, reading and board games. She was involved with church events and activities with her grandchildren. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Funeral services were held April 18 in the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in Wadena, with the Rev. Vaughn White officiating. Pallbearers were Scott McCall Sr., Karla McCall, Scott McCall Jr., Heather McCall, Kendra McCall, Todd Orr, Brian Oothoudt and Larry Richter. Interment was in the Leaf River Cemetery in rural Wadena. Arrangements were with the Johnson Memorial Home in Wadena (www.johnsonmemorialhome.com).
Survivors include her husband, Raymond of Wadena; her son, Scott (Karla) of New York Mills; three grandchildren, Scott Jr., Heather and Kendra; and loving family and friends.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Delwin and Dorothy; sons, Ray Jr. in 1961, and Robert "Jim" in 2003.
