Seven graduating from MSUM May 11

Seven area students will be among the 989 graduating May 11 at Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Among those graduating in the Class of 2012 will be Wadena's Andrew Dornbusch, Kathryn Kraemer, Chelsey Lawson and Dana Motschenbacher, Verndale's Jacqueline Kern and Stephanie Dailey and Sebeka's Kent Wright. Motschenbacher graduated from high school in Verndale and Wright graduated from WDC.

MSUM's spring commencement is set for 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. in MSUM's Alex Nemzek Fieldhouse. About 700 students are expected to participate in the ceremonies.

Lori Wightman is the 10 a.m. commencement speaker featuring graduates of the Colleges of Education & Human Services and Arts & Humanities. Wightman is the president of Unity Hospital in Fridley, Minn., which is part of Allina Health. Wightman is a registered nurse and received her bachelor's degree in nursing from MSUM in 1982 and her master's in health administration from the University of Colorado-Denver.

Wightman is active in the American College of Healthcare Executives, and has held positions as a healthcare consultant, building project coordinator, governor campaign manager and general manager of a professional basketball team.

Tami Reller is the 2 p.m. commencement speaker for the College of Social & Natural Sciences, Business & Industry and University College. Reller is a chief financial officer and chief marketing officer at Microsoft Corporation in Washington. Reller is responsible for business performance, finance and marketing of the Windows and Windows Live Division, including the Windows operating system, Internet Explorer and Windows Live.

Reller earned her bachelor's degree in mathematics from MSUM in 1987 and her master's in business administration from St. Mary's College in Moraga, Calif. Reller began her career at Great Plains Software in 1984.

Minnesota State University Moorhead is a comprehensive regional university enrolling approximately 7,500 students. MSUM is a member of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system.
