Sebeka man dies after crash
A Sebeka man is dead after a one-vehicle crash Thursday morning, March 24.
The Wadena County Sheriff's Office said a call came in around 9:30 a.m. of a crash. Emergency crews discovered a white passenger car overturned in a drainage ditch full of water.
Joshua Kangas, 26, was found outside the vehicle and was unresponsive, the sheriff's office said. Kangas' vehicle was northbound on 199th Avenue in Meadow Township in Wadena County when it left the road and rolled into the ditch.
Authorities believe the crash happened many hours earlier, possibly around midnight. An autopsy is planned to determine the cause of death, the sheriff's office said.
The sheriff's office was assisted at the scene by the Sebeka Fire Department, Tri-County Ambulance, Minnesota State Patrol, Minnesota DNR and Wevley Funeral Home.
