Scouts tour Historical Society
The Scouts from Den 5 visited the Wadena County Historical Society, Museum and Genealogy Research Center. Their enthusiasm was high and they had lots of questions. The Military Room probably kept them in that area the longest searching for the largest bullet. They were very interested in the Two Nations Indian Village. The Scouts are as follows (l-r): Connor Dirks, Ben Keppers, Austin Swenson, Jared E-Maisio and Gage Polman. The parents who also took the tour, conducted by Executive Director/Curator Sandi Pratt, were Bob Keppers, Colin Dirks, Lenny Anderson, Shawn Swenson and Amanda Polman. The hours of the museum are Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Thursday from 4-7 p.m. The new look museum is now free of any admission charge. If you want to use Ancestry.com and search for your roots, their Genealogy Lab has computers for public use.
