School architect wants input from public on new WDC High School
Wadena-Deer Creek School's architect Perkins+Will is inviting the public to share their input and vision on the new high school.
The Minneapolis architect will facilitate an input meeting on Monday, Sept. 20 at 6:30 p.m. in the WDC Elementary Cafeteria. The meeting will focus on the vision of the high school for the 21st century, the capacity and grade layout, the curriculum, the sustainability, as well as the community needs of the new school.
The public is encouraged to attend this meeting. The ideas generated will help WDC Schools plan for a new, state-of-the-art facility for its students.
Demolition of the high school is scheduled for later this fall. Groundbreaking for the new high school is tentatively planned for spring 2011.
