Fourteen-year-old Sam Bell, of Nimrod, was critically injured on Sept. 3, at the Nimrod Bull Bash. Bell, a three-year Minnesota state bull riding champion, was doing his eight-second ride when he was bucked violently from the 1,600 pound bull he was riding. The fall left him with brain contusions, broken ribs and damaged lungs. He has been hospitalized since Labor Day weekend at hospitals in the Twin Cities.
