Gabi Ross paced Wadena-Deer Creek with a 97 Tuesday in the Menahga Invitational at Blueberry Pines.

Jessica Langer and Jess Rondesvedt turned in rounds of 103 and 104 for the Wolverines who did not have a complete team for the meet.

Staples-Motley’s Emily Israelson shot a 74 to capture medalist honors.

The winning Pequot Lakes Patriots were 32 strokes ahead of runner-up Grand Rapids in team competition.

Wolverines place fourth 

Four WDC golfers fired rounds in the 90s Monday as the Wolverines claimed fourth in the Mid-State Conference meet at Staples’ Vintage golf course.

Heather Theisen set the pace with a 92 while Jess Rondesvedt shot a 93 and both Gabi Ross and Hope Theisen shot rounds of 98. Paige Hartman and Jessica Langer brought in rounds of 103 and 120.

Detroit Lakes’ Kate Smith took medalist honors with a 72. Smith’s club dominated the team competition with a 306.
