Ringnecks Forevermore, Bertha, gives to Trees for Wadena
The Bertha chapter of Ringnecks Forevermore presented the Wadena Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) with a check for $1,100 to go toward the Trees for Wadena Fund, a fund being used to purchase and replant trees in the Wadena area that were lost due to the June 17 tornados. The money was raised at the group's recent banquet, and will be added to the tens of thousands of dollars that have already been donated by area organizations, individuals and companies. The Wadena Soil and Water Conservation District has set the start date for April 30 as the kick off for the spring planting, and is currently helping affected landowners plan out lot spaces for replanting. If you would like help planning your lot and selecting tree species for your property stop into the SWCD or call (218) 631-3195.
