Response to Twete letter
I feel prompted to respond to Marilyn Twete's comments in the Nov. 24 edition. The Holy Bible was inspired by God (1 Timothy 3:16), and we should not be afraid to stand up for what it says.
It says in 2 Timothy 4:3-4 that the time will come when we don't want to hear the truth but have our ears tickled and will want teachers that will preach what we want to hear. The Bible also says the time will come when what is right will be perceived to be wrong and what is wrong will be perceived to be right. Are we now in that time?
God is a loving God, but he's also a just God. He does not change. He is the same - yesterday, today and tomorrow. He means what he says, and we can either choose to believe him or not believe him.
I, for one, am not going to call God a liar because he's the one that's going to judge my thoughts and actions.
