The funeral service for Raymond Harry McCall, Jr, of Wadena will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 16, 2014, at the Wadena Alliance Church with Reverends Vaughn White and Aaron Andrews officiating. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. With family at his side, Ray passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2014, at his home in Wadena at the age of 75.
Ray was born to Raymond, Sr. and Margaret (Gustafson) McCall on December 18, 1938, in Reno, NV. He graduated in 1957 from Downey High School and attended trade schools and became employed as a computer field technician and explosive stock clerk.
Ray was united in marriage with Sharon K. Orr on September 29, 1961, in Hollydale, CA.
Sharon passed away on April 15, 2010. On June 18, 2011, Ray married Pauline Nevala at Sunnybrook Park in Wadena.
Ray enjoyed using his spare time working on his model railroad, reading and watching an array of sports. He belonged to the Boy Scouts of America, PTA, and Little League baseball.
Ray was preceded in death by his first wife Sharon; parents Raymond Sr. and Margaret.
Ray is survived by his wife Pauline; son Scott (Karla); daughter Candy Askren; six grandchildren & three great-grandchildren; and brother Don (Gail) McCall of CA.
Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Endres, Dave Vorderbruggen, Larry Richter, Curt Folkestad, Gordon Fix, Bryan Oothoudt, Gordon Moench, Dave Malone, Gene Wolter, Dave Nelson and T.J. Robinson.
Burial will be in Leaf River Cemetery in Wadena County, MN.
The family suggests memorials go to Christian & Missionary Alliance (C&MA) Missions.
