Rangers drain 11 treys, top Wolverines
The Crosby-Ironton Rangers continued to show that are "back" Friday night as they dropped in 11 three-pointers in an 78-60 victory over the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines.
After laboring through a 2008-2009 season that saw the Rangers finish second in the Mid-State and lose four of their 30 games, Dave Galovich has an undefeated team in the Mid-State with the state's No. 4 Class AA ranking and an overall record of 15-1.
The Rangers won for the sixth straight time as Sam Baker tacked up 18, Mark Hoge scored 17 and Matt Hudrlik and Brock Tesdahl netted 11 apiece.

The Wolverines were not able to stop Crosby-Ironton's three-point game but their 60 points was the most the Rangers had allowed since beating WDC 68-61 in a game Jan. 12.
Ryan Nelson returned to double figures with a 16 point scoring night. Scott Syverson hit four treys to finish with 14 points. Jordan Reed canned 12.
