Steve Riewer’s Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale Raiders staged a four-run rally in the top of the seventh May 17 to edge Frazee 7-6 on the Hornets home field.


Jordan Fretham went 3-for-4 and drove in two runs for BHV. Eric Blaha and Dillon Card combined for two runs, three hits and four RBIs.

Jordan Ketter and Tyler Ketter both went 3-for-4 in the loss.

Riewer used Nick Brown, Dallas Ehrmantraut, Blaha and Card on the hill. Andrew Wendt pitched a complete game for Frazee.

Parkers Prairie 3-0, BHV 2-4

Dillon Card fired a three-hitter as the Raiders gained a split with Parkers Prairie May 16.

The Panthers broke a 2-2 tie in the top of the sixth to edge the Raiders in Game 1.

Winning pitcher Hunter Arnold put the Raiders in position for the win by checking the Raiders on just three hits. Arnold walked two and fanned 11.

BHV’s Preston Riewer scattered eight hits and two walks while striking out eight in a complete game performance.

Jerger walked nine, surrendered five hits and fanned four as she went the distance in both five-inning games. Jerger held the Wolverines to just a pair of hits in Game 1.

Parkers’ Alec Albert went 2-for-3 and drove in an RBI.

Card walked two and fanned four in winning Game 2.

Blaha went 3-for-4 and drove in three runs for the Raid ers.

Alberts went 2-for-3 in the loss.
