• Police recorded a threat call made to a Wadena couple. The couple had been scammed in the past, and someone left them a message that he was going to come and murder both of them.

Aug. 31

• A man reported the theft of an arc welder from a fish house on his property, which he was using for storage. The man said his wife also had an iPod stolen from her car on the property about two months before.

Sept. 1

• A man reported the theft of a part from a boat that was for sale in the parking lot of a Wadena business. The boat had cut wires and the motor part missing. The damage and loss due to the theft was valued at $950.

Sept. 3

• Police responded to a report of a loud party and saw a man flee from the back of the residence as they arrived. They found the man hiding under a deck at another residence. The man was on probation and was arrested.

• A speeding ticket was written for a driver who was going 76 in a 55. The driver said he was in a hurry to get to the bull ride in Nimrod.

• A speeding ticket was written for a driver who was going 75 in a 55. The driver said his family was waiting for him in Nimrod and told him to "hurry up."

• A deputy responded to a report of a man falling out of the passenger side of a pickup along a roadside. The pickup was found. The driver was cited for DWI, and the passenger was cited for open bottle.

Sept. 4

• At 1:22 a.m., a deputy responded to a fight at a Nimrod bar. One of the combatants allegedly took a swing at an assisting officer. Two females were fighting and one was cited for disorderly conduct.

• At 1:56 a.m., a deputy broke up a fight in Nimrod.

• At 2:19 a.m., a deputy cited one man for disorderly conduct after a fight in Nimrod.

• At 2:52 a.m., a man was walking around a campground with a tire iron, threatening people. He then got into a fight with his brother.

• At 3:23 a.m., a man was found slumped over in his vehicle with the car running and his foot on the brake. He was arrested for DWI.

• At 5:45 a.m., a car crash with injuries was reported.

Sept. 5

• Police obtained surveillance footage of a man who allegedly threw a match in a dumpster to purposely set it on fire. The fire was reported around 2:20 p.m.

• The county K-9 officer was called out to assist with a suspicious car during a traffic stop. The dog indicated there were drugs in the car, and marijuana flake and paraphernalia were found.

• A man allegedly picked up a family member by the throat and slammed her down on the floor.

Sept. 6

• A man reported he had walked into a Wadena store and there were no employees to be found for about three minutes. Police went to the store and found some employees there, who said they were in a back room and saw a man enter the store on a surveillance camera. They said the man was wearing a ski mask and holding his coat closed with his hand. Police looked at the footage and pointed out the man was not wearing a ski mask, but instead had a bushy beard.
