The Wolverines were held to just 12 points in the second half by the Lakers Friday in a Mid-State tilt on the Wadena hardcourt.

"We played a great game for 27 minutes," WDC head coach Tom VanErp said. "We did a very good job of keeping the ball out of Stalberger's hands, however, we didn't do a real good job of rebounding."

The Lakers grabbed a whopping 21 offensive boards in the game and dominated the boards 43-28. The Lakers scored 20 of their game point in the paint.

VanErp's club also had trouble taking care of the ball and turned it over 28 times. The Lakers coughed the ball 18 times.

The 36 points represented WDC's weakest offensive production since Dec. 10 when they fell to Pequot Lakes 70-25 in Wadena.

Joe Mollberg scored 16 points for the Lakers.

Jordan Reed had a double-double for the Wolverines with 12 points and 13 rebounds.

The victory gave the Lakers a 13-4 record overall and a 6-1 mark in Mid-State play. The Wolverines fell to 7-9 overall and 4-4 in the Mid-State.
