Peter J. Korzendorfer, 50, Frazee, MN, died Saturday, March 8, 2014, at the Frazee Care Center. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, March 14, 2014 at Furey Funeral Home in Frazee, Fr. Xavier Ilango, officiating. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Peter James Korzendorfer was born September 14, 1963 in Wadena, MN to Vernon and Joan (Schowe) Korzendorfer. He moved with his family to Detroit Lakes, MN where he started his education. The family later moved to Frazee where Peter graduated from Frazee High School in 1980. He then worked for Sander's Deep Rock, did road construction and worked at Perkins in Detroit Lakes. Peter was united in marriage to Dee Ann Dunblazier in 1988 in Wadena, MN. They made their home in rural Wadena and Peter worked for Carter's, Stuntebeck Ford, the Wadena Housing Authority, City Drey and Midcentral Ice Co. He was united in marriage to Sherry Hickey, July 7, 2006 in Wadena. That same year, they moved to Frazee and Peter worked for Hedahl's in Detroit Lakes. In 1990, Peter was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and his declining health forced him to stop working in 2010. He has been a resident of the Frazee Care Center since January 15, 2012.

He enjoyed deer hunting, tinkering and wood working.

Survivors include his wife, Sherry of Frazee, 3 sons: Jerimmey (Jessica) Korzendorfer of Oak Harbor, WA, Kenneth (Renee) Korzendorfer of Fargo, ND, Derek (Ashley) Korzendorfer of Wadena, 5 grandchildren, his mother: Joan Korzendorfer of Frazee, 2 sisters: Karen (Doug) Conn of Albert Lea, MN, Kathy (Dan) Bishop of Georgia and a brother, John (Mary) Korzendorfer of Duluth.
