Pearl Lillian Gunn, 88, passed away July 4, 2009, at Fair Oaks Lodge in Wadena.
She was born Oct. 30, 1920, to Mathias and Clara (Nicholson) Kallerman at their home in Bluffton Township.
She married Loren H. Gunn on Oct. 22, 1943 in her parents' home. She worked for Douglas Aircraft during World War II. As a homemaker she enjoyed cooking and baking, and sharing hospitality in her home. Her hands were busy with knitting, crocheting, and all handwork. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 9, in the Wadena Evangelical Church with the Rev. Chuck Lamison officiating. Interment will be in the Pioneer Cemetery in Bluffton Township. Pallbearers will be Nathan Gunn, Calvin Gunn, Dane Gunn, Corey Giesbrecht, Travis Unger, Eric Levay, Aaron Spicer and Sam Divinagracia. Survivors include her loving husband, Loren of Wadena; sons, Donald (Sue) Gunn of rural Wadena, and Jerome (Wendy) Gunn of St. Michael, Minn.; daughters, LaVon (Neil) Lown of rural Sebeka, Bonita (Arnold) Nordaas, of Takanosu, Japan, Karen (Daniel) Giesbrecht of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and Mardell (Mark) Kistler, of Haines, Alaska; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Edward (Lorraine) Kallerman of Redwood City, Calif.; and sister, Irene (Chester) Erickson of Robbinsdale, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mathias and Clara; and sister Elsie Kallerman.
