The Patriots went into the halftime locker room with a slim 29-28 lead.

Michael Ward and Michael Goerges combined to score 21 points in the victory.

The Patriots posted their ninth win in 17 games while the Wolverines lost for the 10th time in 18 contests.

Ryan Nelson led the Wolverines with 15 tallies while Jordan Reed scored 13.

The Wolverines managed to tie the taller Patriots 19-all on the boards.

"I thought we rebounded as well as we have all season," WDC head coach Tom VanErp said. "Considering Pequot Lakes goes 6-7, 6-5 in the post we did a great job of rebounding."

The Patriots avenged a 51-48 loss to the Wolverines in a Jan. 22 game at Wadena.

The loss dropped the Wolverines to 8-10 overall and 3-6 in the Mid-State.
