Packer named new radiology manager
Tri-County Hospital (TCH) recently named Gary Packer as its new Radiology Manager. He is replacing long-time manager, Carol Windels, who retired in early April.
Packer has been with the TCH radiology department for 10 years. He has worked in a variety of positions in the radiology department including radiology technician, and lead CT technician. In 2008, Packer worked as the PACS Administrator, and successfully implemented the PACS system for the organization.
In his new role at TCH, Packer will be in charge of overseeing the radiology department to ensure that high quality, professional care and service is delivered to all patients and their families.
Packer received a degree in Radiologic Technology from the University of Minnesota, Crookston, and is registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in both Radiology and CT. Packer and his wife, Brenda, who is employed with the TCH Home Health Care/Hospice department, make their home in Wadena. They have two daughters, Meagan, 21, and Madison, 6.
"My goal for the radiology department is to guarantee that the highest caliber of patient care is both expected and delivered to our patients," Packer said. "I look forward to implementing strategies that help the radiology department and hospital, as a whole, to continue to advance and compete in the ever-changing, unique world of health care."
