Otter Tail COLA meeting set for May 28
Is your lake experiencing high lake water levels? Is your shoreland eroding?
Steve Henry, Otter Tail County's shoreland specialist, is the feature speaker at the May 28 Otter Tail County Coalition of Lake Associations (COLA) meeting.
Henry has a bachelor's degree in environmental geology and technology water resources from the University of North Dakota. He is a master naturalist instructor and serves as Otter Tail County's shoreland specialist.
The focus of Henry's program will be on shoreland stabilization. He is also versed on landscaping, rain gardens, rain barrels and how shoreline plantings can preserve and enhance water clarity and quality.
The doors to the Community Center in Ottertail will be open at 8:30 a.m. for socializing over a cup of coffee prior to the start of the meeting. The meeting starts at 9 a.m. All meetings are open to the public.
