Olive Mae Anderson, 89, of Wadena, formerly of Henning, died Dec. 24, 2009, at Fair Oaks Lodge in Wadena.
Olive Mae Heard was born June 7, 1920 to Arthur and Ella (Johnson) Heard in Inman Township in Otter Tail County. She graduated from Henning High School. She married Lloyd Anderson Aug. 11, 1940, in Deer Creek. Before moving to Wadena, Olive worked at the drug store in Henning while farming with her husband. Raising her family was her priority. She enjoyed cooking and baking. Several of her interests included reading, embroidery and crossword puzzles. Summers were occupied by gardening and canning. Coffee time with her neighbors was a special time for her. Church activities were also very important to Olive.
Funeral services were held at Southbrook Baptist Church in Wadena, with the Revs. Jacob Heppner and Kevin Albertson officiating. Interment was at Inman Cemetery in Inman Township. Pallbearers were Ryan Dorman, Stace Anderson, Jim Eckoff, Dennis Heard, Ron Piepkorn, and Adrian Erickson. Arrangements were with the Johnson Memorial Home in Wadena (www.johnsonmemorialhome.com).
