Noon invited to play in All-Star match
Wadena-Deer Creek volleyball standout Brittney Noon has an invitation to participate in the Minnesota Volleyball Coaches Association All-Star match June 25 in Albertville, Minn.
Noon is just one of 32 players eligible to compete in the 6 p.m. match at St. Michael-Albertville High School.
During Noon's four varsity seasons with the Wolverines, her team posted a 117-18 record and played in four straight state tournaments. The Wolverines won the Class AA state title in 2010.
The outside hitter finished with 443 kills, 181 digs, 157 blocks, 28 ace serves and a 93 percent serving percentage, during her senior year.
Noon plans to attend Minnesota State University-Mankato this fall and play volleyball for the Mavericks. She is also planning to study optometry.
Noon is the daughter of Ron and Gretchen Noon of Wadena.
