The driver was identified as 85-year-old Lloyd Ramsay, of Perham.

Ramsay was traveling westbound on Main Street, near the corner of 2nd Ave. S.W., when he struck an Underwood couple with his Ford Ranger pickup on Dec. 6. The couple, David and Marilyn Beighley, both age 74, were attempting to cross the street at an unmarked area.

The truck knocked the couple to the ground, then drove over David, causing serious injuries. Marilyn was treated and released from Perham Health. David was taken by life flight to a hospital in Fargo, N.D., where he later died as a result of the accident.
